Echo

Friday, March 17th

5:30 – 6:30 pm

Three days of arts events that take place in secret locations at Western University. Each event provides a connection into an issue of sustainability and follows up on that connection with a valuable action point. Echo was established in order to create a culture of sustainability through the use of creative expression and engagement meant to spark a public discussion about the issues that face humanity and our relationship with the environment.

Nine artists, curated and commissioned by the Echo creative team will be showcased at Satellite Project Space as part of the culminating event of the festival. Each artist presents their own unique perspective on an issue of sustainability. The artists present their work on-site and are available for press interviews and general conversation to promote engagement and discussion. The subject matter of their work includes but is not limited to the following: activism, guerrilla art, environment, ecology, home, homelessness, food, hunger, censorship, capitalism, economy, art, music, poetry, photography, painting, mixed media, performance art, government.
