SURVIVAL
Fanshawe College Fine Art Third Year Student Exhibition

Exhibiting Artists: Leah Probst and Johanna Torres

This exhibition explores mental and physical ideas of survival. Martial Arts is a defensive practice that preserves traditional combat and self-defense methods. The act of child labour subjects extreme demands on the body similar to Martial Arts practices. However, children of forced labour are protecting loved ones and themselves, while surviving within a class structure of poverty that they were fortuitously born into.
