Coordinates is a group exhibition of abstract works focusing on visual connections with locations that relate to the personal heritage and cultural diversity of each artist. David Borrero employs urban landscapes and city maps to distort space and perspective in vibrantly coloured digital prints. In a series of mixed media collages, Victoria Herschberger explores her personal heritage across two completely different cultures. Another global citizen, Jouanna Malke, creates abstract paintings responding to both historical and contemporary crises across the globe through gestural mark-making and restrictive colour choices based on national flags. Each work is linked to a location on our world map, exploring new subjects through foreign landscapes while also displaying the familiar aspects of living in Canada.

Coordinates is the latest exhibition in the spring 2020 series of exhibitions by Fanshawe Fine Arts 3rd year students.
