Since 2004 second year students of Fanshawe College’s Fine Arts Diploma program have worked on site in the scrap metal yard of John Zubick Limited. Students are creatively engaging, sorting, piling, editing, and collecting materials that are welded into compelling sculptures that defy gravity of heavy metal.
Scrap Yard presents photomontages that recollect these artworks, and rusty process drawings evolving over the duration of exhibition.
