“Within” is a exhibition featuring third year fine arts students from Fanshawe College, Leena Bourne and Shannon Vandevenne. The exhibition focuses on cognitive dissociation within the neuro-system and its communication through various digital media.
Leena Bourne:
Bourne works with emotions and personal events surrounding her epilepsy diagnosis. Her video installations and projections immerse audiences in new experimental environments. Bourne was a painter exclusively before she transitioned into video and media installation. She has been working with the subject of illness for the entirety of her artistic career.

Shannon Vandevenne:
Vandevenne’s work comments on depression and anxiety relative to stigma and circumstances, and its drastic statistical increase. Vandevenne was inspired by personal experiences as well as by Bell’s “Let’s Talk” campaign.
