Little Worlds is a solo show by Taylor Chan Daley riddled with whimsical and spirited forms inspired by her resonation with ceramic vessels tied to eras passed. The evolution of ceramics has had many turning points throughout history that were thoughtful yet spontaneous; comparatively so, this can be said about each individual piece’s creation. Her inspiration is drawn from ornate function while walking the line between modern day society and past historian potters. Bringing in the new while simultaneously honouring the ones that came before.

This exhibit encompasses the concepts of maximalism by breaking the boundaries of time. As a result, these playful pieces encompass the little worlds we all live in in our best memories. The goal of this exhibit is to integrate fantasies and sound structures; to bind the imagination with the body. The tones in this series are a reflection of the colours we see when we are wide eyed and unconfined, like a child on the playground.
