Submit to SATELLiTE: In Orbit

We welcome submissions of original writing from undergraduate and graduate students at Western University and Fanshawe College: exhibition reviews, reflections on your own curated exhibitions, artist profiles, interviews, close considerations of specific works, and varied approaches to art writing. Your submission should respond to the work of another student or local artist. The aim of this project is to offer publishing opportunities that foster awareness about exciting practices emerging from these two institutions and in London.

We accept pitches for specific projects! Use this form to pitch your idea. If you would like to write for SATELLiTE: In Orbit but are unsure about who or what to write, use the form to contact us and we will connect you with an artist, exhibition, or artwork as an assignment. An editor will assist in the formulation and final outcome of your project. Please do not pitch a piece of writing that you have already formally published elsewhere.

SATELLiTE pays nominal honoraria for published contributions:

  • $75 per exhibition review, exhibition reflection, artist profile, close considerations of works, or art writing submissions (500 – 750 words)
  • $100 per interview ($50 each to interviewer and interviewee). (500 – 1000 words)

Submissions will close when funding has been depleted.
