Working, working, working. Creation ebbs and flows as inspiration changes and challenges arise. What happens to the work we make during the in-between time? What do you make when you are stuck? ‘Buffering’ means to store data in a buffer while it is being processed or transferred. Buffering displays the work that acts as the artist’s buffer, work that has been made during the process to something else. During the time in-between you fall back to what you know, quick sketches, printmaking processes, portraiture; or you try something new. While buffering, success and failure are not concerns, all that matters is that you keep working.
