The students of the first year Advanced Visual Arts Foundation Course at Western University have produced an exhibition of cast plaster objects and pencil drawings.

The bone-dry white plaster objects flow through the space in eddies of varying densities and varying degrees of ordered arrangement. The aggregations at times resemble fossils scattered on an ocean floor, but also invoke the spectre of the tragically familiar objects that make up massive oceanic waste heaps. In areas of clarity, intention can be read as the objects gather into calcified Atlantean cityscapes. On the walls, drawings act as blueprints of an alternate floor plan–one where the same objects are organized into strictly repetitive patterns.
