Steve deBruyn Art show 2023:Elf:Cat:Per is an art show that was made to be seen! It is an art show that is made to be experienced! A tour through the twisted turns of a reverted and pivoted methodology much in the throes of the ongoing process of art school, this exhibition dares to posit a direction in the future by besmirching the past. Old styles and ways of working are meant here to be judged and regarded once and for all only to be grudged and discarded in a most unceremonious manner. Pretty pictures in wood and paint lovingly cared for must make room for the more barbed constituents which make up the actual onus held aloft by the true revealers of what is what and who says why. We shall fly to the loftiest heights on Steve Airlines! Only to safely land back on Earth amongst lovely and vast piles of ruined tangents seen through massive holes in massive shoes when regarded from thirty thousand feet! Colour and revelry for all! Vistas will be seen, hills will be climbed only to be furtively descended again in bobs and weaves, roads will fork only to impale themselves on the very tangs that made them so interesting in the first place. But not to despair, this art show will come to a cozy conclusion that will envelop its unassuming visitors in the warmest of hugs. You. Are. Invited!
